Young People's Zone
Voices 2018, Coram Voice’s third national writing competition for children in care and young care leavers, is now closed for entries and submissions can no longer be accepted. Our shortlisters have read all of your entries with the highest scoring submissions from each age category going through to the next round.
The successful shortlisted entrants have been contacted and invited to our awards ceremony in London on 9 April, where the winners will be announced.
The theme for this year's competition was 'Who or What Makes You Proud' and prizes include a tablet device and up to £100 in shopping vouchers. Shortlisted entries will also be showcased on a special app featuring writing from children in care.
Voices national writing competition
The competition was launched in 2016 to mark Coram Voice’s 40th anniversary and in honour of our founder, Gwen James, who died in 2015.
A platform for the voices of children in and around the care system, the competition promotes a positive image by showcasing young people’s creativity and improving understanding of their experiences.
